Welcome to the home of Volunteer miniature donkeys.  We are located in Eastern Kentucky between Huntington, West Virginia; Pikeville, Kentucky and Lexington, Kentucky.

We became interested with miniature donkeys while trying to help a friend find what he said was a blue donkey to guard his goats.  After several weeks and hundreds of web sites and questions, we found out there is not a blue donkey, but that it refers to a grayish color donkey of all sizes.   We also found out that a miniature donkey it too small to serve as a guard donkey and that a much larger donkey is needed.  But after all that reading and seeing pictures of miniature donkeys I became totally consumed and wanted to began raising them.  I finally found a couple of ones I would like to have  and began my journey in miniature donkeys and soon found out that two wasn’t enough so now I have six(6) miniature donkeys and am in the process of adding two (2) more to my family.  We have a light brown jenny, a Ivory  Blue eyed jenny and white frosted jack and we just picked up a 3 year old gelding which is trained to pull a cart.  I am waiting on a Blue eyed Ivory jack to be born at another farm.

We have had one (1) of our donkeys in a Churches Nativity Scene during the holidays and will probably have her in it again this year We are hoping to have our cart and donkey in the town local celebration this fall  and the church next door children seems to be always hanging around petting our donkeys and goats before and after services.

We  are small but with the hope of having around 7 – 10  donkeys around all the time and will soon have a couple of babies for sales some where in the early spring in the year 2008.  we are trying to raise some beautiful, friendly donkeys around to sale.  If you would like to contact us about our donkeys please feel free I love to talk about my babies and donkeys in general and I will try to answer your question or help you find the answer.  Some of the friendliest people I know have been involved in the miniature donkey business.  Bookmark our website and visit us often as we will be inserting more pictures as our operation grows.
